DNV Acquires Security Academy and SECO-Institute
DNV, a global market leader in management system certification and training, has acquired Security Academy and SECO-Institute. Andersen acted as corporate finance advisor to SECO-Institute and Security Academy on the transaction.
Security Academy and SECO-Institute offer a broad range of training and personal certification programs in ICT, business continuity, and cyber and information security. Each organisation has a distinct focus: Security Academy specialises in professional training, while SECO-Institute develops course materials and delivers personal certification aligned with the European Cybersecurity Skills Framework (ECSF). Both companieshave strong brand recognition in the Netherlands, particularly within the financial sector and public institutions.
The acquisitions strengthen DNV’s certification and training portfolio in information security, cybersecurity,business continuity, and personal certification, responding to the growing complexity of cyber and information security risks across organisations.
